Having computer trouble?

January 11th, 2006

If you are having computer trouble and would like to bring it in for diagnostics, there are some things you may need to know first. Please read this article.

You do not need to bring everything to the shop with you. Please bring the tower and any CDs that accompany that computer when you purchased the system. Do not bring in any power cords, mice, or keyboards, however ( in some cases we will need your mouse and keyboard, check and see if you have a USB or wireless mouse or keyboard, if so bring them with you). We do not repair printers or monitors, so please do not bring either with you. If you have any information on your computer (documents, pictures, etc.) please note where they are located, and if possible, back them up, or move them to the My Documents folder. If your computer has multiple users, please be able to furnish their passwords so that we can access their files. We will take every precaution to maintain and save your data, however we are not responsible for data loss.

When you come into the shop, please fill out our required paperwork as thoroughly as possible. The “Problem” area must be filled out very carefully. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask, we will assist you in any way possible.

We at Personalized PC’s, find pride in our fast repair service. Most systems are returned to the customer within 24 hours of drop-off.

Our service fees vary. Upon drop-off however, all customers are required to leave a deposit of $45.00 plus tax to cover the diagnostics portion of our work. This fee will then be deducted from any overall labor should the necessary repair exceed this diagnostics fee.
